Shami Gourmet Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

This hidden gem in Business bay offering arabic and middle eastern cuisine should be your next “To Go” place! A tiny joint located in Burlington tower has alot to offer while keeping your pockets and tummies happy!

I was here for lunch and opted for various items from their menu to try on!
We opted for a Shami cheese fatayer, Labneh with vegetables manakeesh & mixed cheese manakeesh, spicy potatoes, hummus from cold mezzeh and arabic falafel.

Shami Cheese Fatayer: These were tiny bundle of joys – super soft bread topped with hot melted cheese. I could keep munching on these all day long! Highly recommend these!

Labneh with Vegetables Manakeesh – A simple one with labneh spread on manakeesh base and topped with veggies. This one looked quite delicious in pictures; however, i was personally not much impressed with this as it was too sour for my taste. Being a labneh lover, this dish din’t impress me much.

Mixed cheese Manakeesh – Noone can ever go wrong with this manakeesh! Served hot with just the right amount of cheese – this dish is a big HIT! A must must try!#

Spicy potatoes – Crispy and delicious, these potatoes were cooked with perfection! However, the irony was that – it was not at all spicy. The dish still managed to be yummy!

Arabic falafel – THIS DISH WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE ENTIRE MEAL! Right from the taste to crisp, these falfels were to die for! One of the best falafels i’ve had till date! I was supperly impressed with the quantity and price of this dish – your pockets and tummies are definitely going to be the happiest with this one!

For desserts, we tried out the tiramisu, cheesecake and chocolate crepe. I wasn’t expecting much from the desserts as the restaurant specializes in middle eastern cuisine. However, much to my surprise the crepe turned out to be a HIT! CHOCOLATY AND WELL COOKED, this crepe shouldn’t be missed when you visit this place. The tiramisu and cheesecake were big misses, there’s definitely a room for improvement for these two.

All in all, the place is definitely worth trying especially for lunch for the people working nearby!

Barbeque Delights – A Delicious Culinary Journey

Barbecue Delights Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

The place that will truely satisfy all your barbeque cravings! Located in downtown, this place has got a huge seating area with such attractive and beautiful interiors and a long buffet running from one edge to other. A plus point for the kids out there, there is a mini play area for the kids so the parents can have a gala time enjoying their meal! It could be difficult to find a parking space near the outlet as its located right in the heart of Downtown Dubai. A quick suggestion – there are few parking spaces right behind the restaurant which would be the closest to the outlet.

Bbq delights offer pakistani and indian cuisine; however, more inclined towards pakistani cuisine. You could choose from their al a carte options or opt for the buffet for unlimited delicious food!
I visited this outlet on a friday afternoon for lunch and tried some of their al a carte options.

Starting off with some cold mezzeh, we tried their Hummus, Tabouleh, Moutabel and Fattoush. Thinking that the restaurant conceptualizes on desi cuisine, tasting their middle eastern options was not at all a bad idea! The spread turned out to be a definite hit! Special shoutout to their fattoush salad which was absolutely delicious!!

Moving on we were served with their signature – afghani naan which was XXL size, way too soft and delicious!
For starters, we tried their fried fish and fried prawns. The fried fish was donne very well – not too oily and was served along with papaya ginger sauce which wwent really well along with the dish. The fried prawns was the hero of the whole meal! It was served along with garlic sauce. I couldn’t stop having these perfectly done prawns which tasted immensely delicious and the garlic sauce was just like a cherry on top! 😀

Moving on to the grills and kababs, we tried the mixed grill platter and chicken bihari kabab. The mixed grill platter included reshami kabab, chicken achari, murgh malai tikka and mutton kabab. All the kabab lovers out there, this is the platter that will satisfy all your kababs craving! The Chicken bihari kabab is one of their best sellers – spicy and juicy this dish is a MUST TRY! The kababs were accompanied with mint chutney, plum sauce and tamarind chutney.

For mains, we tried the mutton kadhai and garlic chicken. The dishes had the perfect flavor and spice – you can make this out the aroma itself! Garlic chicken was something different i had come across and i absolutely loved this one! Highly recommend it!
The place also offers a variety of freshly made juices to go along with your meal!

For desserts, we tried out their Shahi tukda, ras malai, gulab jamun and banofie pie. I have no words to describe these desserts! Cannot choose the best one as all of them are worth trying!! Special love going out to ras malai and gulab jamuns!

The staff is very attentive and helpful which led to great service and a pleasant weekend lunch!
