Nurai Cafe, located in the West Wharf tower in Business Bay have lots to offer which includes delicious food, great ambience and the perfect view!
The place has an outdoor as well as indoor seating area. With the FIFA World cup fever on, the indoor was quite full as they do live FIFA screenings as well! We decided to sit outdoors to enjoy the view as well as the food.
The place offers a HUGE menu so if you are not a lebanese food fan, its totally alright as they have alot of international options as well including italian, mexican, sandwiches, american burgers and much more! It was super confusing to choose what to have but the staff was super helpful with recommendations!
We tried out a few fresh mocktails and juices from their drinks section – the best being the PACIFIC PASSION! This one was a simple blend of pineapple juice, passion fruit syrup, mango syrup and fresh strawberries – a drink worth trying on your visit!
For salads & appetizers, we called for the Dragon Salad, Loaded Fiesta fries and the Nurai House Combo.
Dragon Salad: This is their signature salad which includes chicken strips, Nurai house sauce, bits of tortillas and much more! Even though i’m not a salad fan, this salad definitely did wonders!
Loaded Fiesta fries: Crispy fries topped with marinara sauce, melted cheese, jalapenos and oregano – it was as delicious as it sounds. The dish also included beef bacon as one of the toppings but we got it removed as we don’t consume beef.
Nurai House Combo – We opted for this particular combo as its an all in one dish! Its a combo which includes spring rolls, calamari rings, garlic bread, mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, breaded shrimps and twister fries. This combo is served along with tartar and honey mustard sauce which went well along with the combo. My fav snacks from this combo were the mozzarella sticks, spring rolls, breaded shrimps and the twister fries! All of them were cooked to perfect! A MUST TRY platter which can be easily shared on a table of 4!
For our mains, we opted for the Chicken Taoouk Platter, Chicken Mozzarella Festival Burger & Pinky Pasta.
Chicken Taoouk Platter: This platter included 2 chicken skewers served along with your favorite side (we opted for the grilled potatoes. Pickles and Garlic Sauce were accompanied along with it. The skewers were very well cooked and marinated which went perfectly with the garlic sauce.
Chicken Mozzarella Festival burger: This burger is for all the CHEESE LOVERS! Stuffed with grilled chicken, breaded mozzarella, iceberg pickles, mushrooms and garlic mayo sauce – this burger did wonders! It was a huge one and ofc too heavy due to grilled chicken and breaded mozzarella. However, one of the best burgers i had! It came along with a side as well – in this case we opted for mashed potato which was just yum!
Pinky Pasta: A simple pasta cooked in pink sauce along with mushrooms and chicken breast. This was one of the sauciest pastas i’ve had! Absolutely loved this one! The pasta was well cooked too. The quantity was good enough for 2 people. This pasta was served along with parmesan shavings on the side which just completed the pasta! ❤
Coming to the best part of the meal i.e. the DESSERTS! We tried the Chocolate Fondant and Nurai Iced Brownies. The Chocolate Fondant was served hot along with a scoop of vanilla icecream. The fondant was well prepared – it was not distorting or melting which was the best part! A must try dessert when you visit this place!
Since the lotus cheesecake was not available, we tried the nurai iced brownies. This was a simple dessert which was served on a plate filled with a lump of vanilla icecream topped with brownies and caramel sauce.
