Nom nom Asia is a hidden gem located in Al Barsha. It can be difficult to find the location at your first visit. But there’s nothing to worry about as the staff there can help you with the location, once you call them after reaching around the area.
The restaurant has an indoor and outdoor seating area. I usually prefer sitting indoors as i love their interiors – makes up a peaceful enviroment.
Nom nom asia is inspired by the bold flavors of South East Asia. It offers thai and chinese cuisine. Being a lover of chinese food, i have tried alot of items from their chinese food menu.
Starting off with the starters, my most favorite is the Crispy Vegetables. They are served warm and tastes hot and spicy. The vegetables are cooked perfectly – not too hard and not too soft.
Second in my favorites are the Chicken Dumplings. They are properly stuffed with some greatly cooked chicken. Also, they are served with a chinese – sweet and spicy sauce. Love the combination!
Third comes the most simple and great snack – vegetarian crackers (they also have a choice in seafood). These crackers really fills up the stomach till the main course arrives. It is crispy and tastes great!
Fourth in the list are the vegetarian spring rolls – i did not like the spring rolls much. They had a unique taste and filling which din’t fill my crave for spring rolls. However, their dips are to die for and must try!
For maincourse, my favorites are the Burnt Garlic Fried Rice, Vegetarian Munchurian and Shanghai fried rice.
The burnt garlic fried rice is highly recommended to the ones who love the taste of garlic in their food. Its an absolute delicacy!
Vegetarian Munchurian is cooked in a slightly sweet and spicy gravy. The munchurian balls are also filled greatly with vegtables and are really soft. Its a must try!
The Shanghai fried rice is a totally winning dish. Its a combination of rice and noodles which makes it absolutely delicious! I highly recommend it to give it a try atleast once.
They also offer a delicious and mouthwatering dessert – Fried icecream. It was a new concept for me and i totally loved it. It a combination of icecream and brownie topped with hot chocolate and nuts. Its a MUST MUST TRY. Do not leave the place without trying this!
